James N. Hays received his law degree from Stanford University in 1950. He obtained his A.B. degree from that same university in 1948.

Mr. Hays has practiced law for more than 50 years and has tried hundreds of cases including both civil and criminal matters. His practice areas include personal injury litigation, products liability, insurance coverage matters, probate and general civil litigation. Mr. Hays is "of counsel" to the firm and is regularly involved in all of the various practice areas of the members of the firm in that capacity. Mr. Hays also provides alternative dispute resolution services to private litigants as a mediator and arbitrator.
